The big snowfall they have been predicting has turned out to be a mere dusting. Got up this morning and looked out the window and thought 'Oh good. I just need a broom instead of a shovel.' It looks like it will just melt away eventually. The job hunt has finally paid off. It's part time and seasonal but there's a chance it could become permanent if I impress them enough with my customer service skills and punctuality. I don't think any of that should be a problem.
It'll be good to look forward to getting up and getting ready for work once again and feeling productive.

It is amazing how much better a person feels when they have a sense of productivity. Less worries I guess. You will do great.
Elaine,
glad to hear you'll be working again. We had a dusting too, and now it's all gone! I'm sure we'll get our fill at some point.
Cheers,
Anne-Marie
"keep on working"
Congratulations on the new job Elaine! And extra congratulations on winning the autographed Poetry Olympics book! I'm glad to see that the book went to someone who really likes poetry, and I can tell from your blog that you do.
Say, your blog mentions that you like poetry and mythology - have you ever read the book "The White Goddess" by Robert Graves? I just read it this year and it was absolutely the most interesting book about how poetry and mythology are linked together. It's changed the way I think about everything - I highly recommend it.
Cheers,
Tom
CONGRATULATIONS on the new job! see, I told you it would work out.
Tom- I have heard of that book. I always planned on getting it too.
Gary- When you're right you're right. ;-)
Thanks for the support everyone.
